What is The NMWLP?

Established in 2019, The National Medical Weight Loss Programme provides online CPD and SCOPE accredited education, exclusively to registered health professionals in the medical management of overweight and obesity.

We combine flexible online learning with world-class academic training written by an Expert Advisor to the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) on obesity.

Delegates who successfully pass the course, can promote themselves as a Certified Partner of The National Medical Weight Loss Programme

You need to be a registered Healthcare professional to be able to access our training
You will become a certified partner when you successfully pass and complete the “Management of Obesity” training course.
Once you have successfully passed the module assessments and have completed the training, you will become a certified partner of The National Medical Weight Loss Programme.
By becoming a certified partner, it allows you to experience many different benefits, such as.
  • Our training is recognised as a first of its kind, use our name and brand to become identified and trusted with your patients
  • Certificates – Receive training, CPD and SCOPE certificates, this is required for your insurance
  • Private Dropbox – This is full of useful resources and information to help support the training and includes such as consent forms, appointment paperwork and clinical studies
  • Closed Facebook Group – Request to join our private closed Facebook group where our team of admins along with delegates who have successfully completed training come together as a community for ongoing support and provision. We use this group to communicate any important updates, information or further training that would be beneficial to you and your weight loss service

The National Medical Weight Loss Programme (NMWLP) was developed exclusively to train registered healthcare professionals. Some examples of the professionals we train can be found below. NB This list is not exhaustive, and if your profession isn’t listed, please use our contact us form to find out if you are eligible to become one of our Certified Partners.

All healthcare professionals in England (other than pharmacists) are required to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to offer this service.
If you’re not already working from registered premises (whether that’s from a clinic, or your own home / office), we can offer an EXCLUSIVE package deal which, in addition to becoming one of our Certified Partners, also provides you with the full CQC registration support package through our strategic business partner Care Consultancy Assist.

Once you have booked on to the training, you will receive the following emails instructing you on your next steps

  1. Welcome, New Certified Partner: This contains a list of steps you need to take in order to receive your training including your non-disclosure agreement “NDA”
  2. Your “to do” list: This contains a list of the things you should do in order to set up your service.
Yes, every and all delegates who purchases training must sign their agreement. Training links will not be sent until this has been signed.
All of our information is for your personal use only. It cannot be shared or copied or used in any other way except to run your service.

If you use a third-party or individual to run your social media, this individual or company will be required to sign an NDA before being allowed access too. Please contact us on info@nmwlp.co.uk

NB you will be held responsible for any breaches or misuse of our intellectual property by any of your third-party or business users
ANY BREACH OF YOUR NDA WILL BE REPORTED TO YOUR PROFESSIONAL GOVERNING BODY (GMC, GDC, NMC, GPHC OR HCPC) AND/OR OTHER RELEVANT AUTHORITIES.
The cost of training is £595

How do I access the training?
Once you have signed your NDA, you will receive the following email
Links to the training webinars and course assessments

This email will include your links to access the training, your 30-day access starts as soon as the links are sent to you. Remember to set aside ‘PROTECTED TRAINING TIME’ – after your 30-days access to the training will be removed.

If you are not able to complete your training in the 30-day allocated time, please make us aware before the time is up so that we can put it on hold. If you allow your links to expire without letting us know you will need to purchase the 30-day extension

Yes, at the end of each module there is an assessment for you to complete, this is so we can test your knowledge to issue your certificates. The following terms apply.
  1. You are only permitted one attempt per module; it is important that you do not guess the answers
  2. The pass mark for each module is 80%
  3. Once you submit your answers, you will be notified with your final score
  4. If you fail any module you will need to pay the £10 admin fee to resit.
You will have 30-days to access and complete your training, if you put the protected training time aside you could complete in as little as 1-2 days, but don’t worry, you will still have the full 30 days access.
If you are not able to complete your training in the 30-day allocated time, please make us aware before the time is up so that we can put it on hold. If you allow your links to expire without letting us know you will need to purchase the 30-day extension.
Once you have informed us that you have successfully completed your training and passed all assessments, you will receive the following emails.
  • 4) Training Certificates: These are sent when you tell us that you have successfully completed the course and successfully passed all module assessments
  • 5) Links to Dropbox & Private Facebook Group: This contains the links for you to access the Dropbox folder and a link to request to join the closed Facebook group.
  • 6) **PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THIS EMAIL**: This contains the URL link to your unique consultation form that you will send to your patients
If at any time during your learning process you need help or advice with anything, we are only an email or call away. Please do not hesitate getting in touch with us.
Yes, we offer lots of ongoing and provisional support in the form of the Closed Facebook Groups and the Private Dropbox
Closed Facebook Group: This has now over 700 members in and is used as a community, private forum and ongoing support and provision to help you successfully run your business.
Private Dropbox: This is filled with lots of useful information and resources to support your training, such as, appointment paperwork, GP letter templates, consent forms and social media posts that fall in line with the ASA to name but a new.
